Crews are building detours for the summer construction season on the pass.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reports the restrictions will last three weeks this month, but eased for heavier weekend traffic. Drivers should expect delays and give themselves extra time.
The new detours will be used this summer during blasting and construction on a $551 million project to widen and improve I-90 between Hyak and Keechelus Dam. The work should finish in 2018.
