Police search for two men after Renton man wounded during home invasion robbery
RENTON, Wash. -- Police are looking for two men after a 23-year-old man was wounded during a home invasion robbery in Renton early Thursday morning.
Police say the shooting happened in an apartment complex in the 1100 block of Union Avenue Northeast.
Officers arrived to find the victim with a wound to his stomach. The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and was listed as stable.
Police believe two men in their late teens to early 20s were involved in the incident. One of the two reportedly fired a single shot from a handgun.
One is described as about 6'1" and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, jeans and a black bandanna with a skull on it. The other man is described as about 6'1" with a gray hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and a black bandanna.
Police say that the incident appears to have been drug-related robbery attempt. The two men were last seen leaving the area on foot.
There's no word if the men knew the victim or what, if anything, was stolen.
