Portland police looking for man who rubbed children's shoulders at Kmart

PORTLAND, Ore. - Police weren't able to find a man who two children said touched them at a Kmart store in N.E. Portland on Thursday morning.

The 8-year-old boy girl and 5-year-old boy were sitting on the floor near their shopping cart while their mother briefly looked for something in the next aisle over.

They told police the man rubbed their shoulders and was speaking to them in English and Spanish.

The children's mom confronted the man and he left. Loss-prevention officers at the store weren't able to track him down before police arrived.

Both children are OK.

Police are looking for a Hispanic man who is between 30 and 50 years old. He's about 5-foot-8, 180 pounds with short brown hair. He was wearing a tan T-shirt with black and white stripes, black cargo shorts and black tennis shoes with red soles.

Police said they're trying to get surveillance images of the man.
