Police: Trio of attackers stab, rob man on Redmond trail

REDMOND, Wash. -- Redmond police say three men robbed and stabbed another man Friday afternoon on a secluded trail near the Sammamish River.

Employees at a Redmond office building called police at 3 p.m. after seeing a severely injured man walking toward the building. The man, who had been stabbed multiple times, said he was attacked on a nearby walking trail, according to police.

Officers arrived at the scene moments later and quickly rounded up three men -- all 20-years old -- thought to be behind the attack. They also searched the area and found a blade and bloody clothing.

The victim told detectives he met up with the trio earlier that day and was walking with them on the trail when they robbed and stabbed him. He was able to get away and find help.

The 28-year-old victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition.

The three suspects were arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of felony assault and robbery.
