Police: Shooting victim too drunk to remember getting shot

SEATTLE -- A man found over the weekend with a bleeding gunshot wound told police he was so drunk he didn't remember getting shot.

Officers arrived at Airport Way South and South Massachusetts Street Saturday at about 8 p.m. and found Seattle Fire Department officials treating a man with a gunshot wound to his shin.

The man told police he had been "extremely intoxicated" over the last several days. He said he recalled the shooting happening a few days earlier, but didn't remember who shot him or where the shooting took place.

He then refused to answer any other questions about the shooting, according to police.

The man, who has not been identified, was taken to Harborivew Medical Center with non life threatening injuries.
