Police: Shooter opens fire in Renton convenience store

RENTON, Wash. -- A man with a gun walked into a Renton convenience store around 9:20 p.m. Wednesday and started shooting at a customer, who somehow managed to escape unhurt, according to the Renton Police Department.

According to police, the two men were running around the store in the 2000 block of Benson Road South as the gunman fired shots at the victim. The shooter eventually ran off, and officers were unable to find him.

While the 24-year-old victim was unhurt during the incident, another customer suffered a minor foot injury.

Police believe the victim was specifically targeted by the shooter.
