Police seek suspects following Sikh temple shooting

LYNDEN, Wash. - Police are searching for additional suspects who may have been involved in a shooting at a religious celebration at a Sikh temple, Saturday afternoon.

Hundreds of people were in attendance at the Guru Nanak Temple when three men engaged in a verbal argument with another man.

Details of the argument are unclear, but witnesses say the man went to his vehicle to retrieve a weapon, and fired at the group of men in the parking lot.

The three men fled the scene, and the armed-man was taken into custody by police. The 41-year-old Bellingham man now faces charges of unlawful possession of a weapon and assault.

No one was hurt, but two cars were damaged during the shooting.
