Police seek photos from 1992 Puyallup Fair to crack cold case
PUYALLUP, Wash. -- Were you at the Puyallup Fair two decades ago when Huey Lewis & the News rocked fairgoers? If so, the Puyallup Police Department is hoping your photos or videos from that day could help crack a 21-year-old missing persons case.
Fourteen-year-old Misty Copsey missed her bus when leaving the Puyallup Fair on Sept. 17, 1992 and decided to walk home from the fairgrounds. She has not been seen since. Her clothes were found in a ditch near Enumclaw six months later.
Now, the Puyallup Police Department is asking the public to send them any photos or videos, specifically ones that show other people, from that day at the fair. Detectives hope those images will shed light on what Copsey did and who she talked to that day.
Copsey, who would be 35 this year, was seen wearing a navy-blue sweatshirt, light-blue baggy jeans and brown suede shoes at the fair.
Pictures and videos can be emailed to Det. Don Bourbon at email@example.com.
