Police search for 2 suspects after smash and grab at Bellevue Square
BELLEVUE, Wash. -- Police are looking for two suspects wanted in a smash and grab that happened Saturday night at a jewelry store in Bellevue Square Mall.
Two robbers smashed cases at Ben Bridge Jeweler about 5:45 p.m. Saturday and took off with high-end watches, according to police.
KOMO News talked to the store managers of three different businesses directly across from the jeweler. Two of them say they took in customers who thought they heard gunshots. Police say the sound was actually glass breaking.
"It's unfortunate you have to worry about the safety of your family," shopper Richard Gutierrez said.
Other store employees told KOMO News the same business has been hit several times this year. Police confirm that there's been at least one other smash and grab at Ben Bridge Jeweler.
Amy Jradi was at Bellevue Square when the last smash and grab happened.
"It's happened before at Ben Bridge when I was here over the summer actually," Jradi said. "So I'm not too surprised...it seems like it's a reoccurring event."
Police have not released any information yet regarding suspect descriptions. They ask if you have any information to contact Bellevue Police.
