Police recover truck-load of property stolen in Seattle burglaries
SEATTLE -- The Seattle Police Department recovered a truck-load of stolen jewelry, laptops and more when officers arrested a couple in connection with a stolen vehicle Sunday in West Seattle.
According to police, a citizen called 911 around 1 p.m. to report a stolen truck in the Thriftway parking lot on Southwest Morgan Street.
Officers arrived and arrested a 20-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, who had an outstanding burglary warrant.
According to police, the truck was packed with property reported stolen in multiple burglaries and car prowls around Seattle and King County. There was so much recovered property, it took multiple officers hours to catalog and process it all.
In addition to the stolen property, the truck also contained a revolver and a loaded shotgun, according to police.
Both suspects were booked into King County Jail, and the stolen truck was returned to its owner.
