Police: Nude, Bible-quoting man breaks into sleeping family's home
SEATTLE -- A buck-naked 20-year-old man was high on the Holy Spirit -- and also LSD -- when he broke into a sleeping Seattle family's home and started loudly reciting scripture, according to the Seattle Police Department.
According to police, a husband and wife and their two young children were asleep on the upper floor of their home in the 500 block of Lake Washington Boulevard East around 2 a.m. when they heard someone breaking through their front door.
As the intruder yelled out Bible passages, the wife called 911 and her husband grabbed a baseball bat for protection, according to police.
Officers arrived to find the alleged Billy-Graham-in-the-buff walking down the street and talking to himself. He reportedly ran off when he saw officers, but they were able to chase him down.
The man, who was arrested for investigation of burglary, admitted to taking LSD prior to his nude preaching and was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment, according to police.
