Police nab accused carjacker and armed robber

SEATTLE -- Police nabbed an accused carjacker and robber Wednesday night at Westlake Park in downtown Seattle.

Police say 29-year-old Cyrus Davis was armed with a knife when he carjacked a woman in the Brighton neighborhood just before 7 a.m. on July 2.

Davis is accused of pulling out a large butcher knife, dragging the woman from her car, throwing her to the ground and speeding away in her 2001 Toyota Avalon, according to Drew Fowler with the Seattle Police Department.

About four hours later, police say Davis robbed a pharmacy in Des Moines at knifepoint and used the Avalon as his getaway car. Nobody was seriously injured in either robbery.

Officers caught up with Davis Wednesday night at about 9:15 p.m. in Westlake Park. He was arrested without incident and taken to police headquarters to be questioned by Robbery Unit detectives.
