Police: Men caught stealing frozen pizza from elementary school
SEATTLE -- It's not delivery; it's commercial burglary. According to the Seattle Police Department, three men -- ages 18, 19 and 20 -- were arrested early Monday for stealing a single frozen pizza from Alki Elementary School.
According to police, an alarm at the school in the 3000 block of 59th Avenue Southwest was set off around 3:45 a.m. A security guard arrived at the school, called 911 and waited outside for officers to arrive.
While the guard was waiting, three men walked out carrying a pizza from the school's freezer, according to police.
Instead of saying, "Cheese it!"* and running, the men waited with the security guard for officers to arrive and arrest them.
The men, who reportedly said they had planned to go up to the school's roof to hang out, were booked into King County Jail for investigation of burglary.
*That's a pizza joke.
