Police: Man pistol-whipped, robbed by passing motorists
SEATTLE -- A man walking to his friend's house in Wallingford early Saturday morning was pistol-whipped and robbed by a pair of passing motorists, according to the Seattle Police Report.
According to police, the man was on his way to his friend's house from a neighborhood convenience store shortly after 3:15 a.m. when two men in a black Toyota Tundra with a black canopy yelled for him to stop near Latona Avenue Northeast and Northeast 43rd Street.
The victim refused to stop, and the men -- both armed with handguns -- jumped out of the truck and pistol-whipped him in the head. The men reportedly took the victim's money and drove off.
Officers were unable to find the suspected robbers.
