Police: Man opens fire on group from sunroof; one injured
SEATTLE -- A man with a gun opened fire on a group of people from the roof of a parked car, hitting one man in the foot, early Monday morning in Belltown, according to the Seattle Police Department.
According to police, a security guard watched as a group of people walking in the 1500 block of Second Avenue around 1 a.m. got into an argument with the occupants of a Mercedes parked along the street.
The security guard later told officers one of the men in the Mercedes stood up through the sunroof and fired eight to 10 shots at the group, hitting a man in his 20s.
According to police, officers arrived and found the victim lying on the sidewalk. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center with a bullet wound to his foot.
The victim and the rest of the group were hostile to officers and refused to provide any information on the incident, according to police.
The Mercedes was gone by the time officers arrived.
