Police: Man opens fire on car in Central District
SEATTLE -- A man fired multiple shots at a car driving in the Central District late Wednesday night, according to the Seattle Police Department.
Several people called 911 to report hearing gunfire in the area of 25th Avenue East and East Cherry Street around 11 p.m.
When officers arrived, witnesses told them they saw a man open fire on a car driving down the block.
Officers found shell casings in the area, and the damaged car a few blocks away.
The two people inside the car weren't hurt during the shooting and told officers they had no idea why someone would shoot at them.
Gang detectives are investigating the incident.
