Police: Man injured in Central District shooting
SEATTLE -- A 24-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his arm and side walked into the ER at Harborview Medical Center 15 minutes after a shooting was reported Sunday night in the Central District, according to the Seattle Police Department.
According to police, officers were called to the area of 12th Avenue and East Jefferson Street around 8:15 p.m. for reports of shots fired.
They didn't find anything at the scene but were informed shortly that a man with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds had just turned up at Harborview.
A witness later told officers the Harborview patient had been at the scene of the shooting. And, officers were able to find shell casings outside a business in the 400 block of 12th Avenue.
Police are continuing to investigate.
