Police looking for man who allegedly punched woman, stole her purse

EDMONDS, Wash. -- The Edmonds Police Department is looking for the man who allegedly punched a 29-year-old woman in the face and stole her purse Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Edmonds Police Department, the woman was near her car in the 22900 block of 76th Avenue West around 1:50 p.m. when the man attacked her and ran off with her purse.

Officers arrived quickly, and the Lynnwood and Mountlake Terrace police departments helped set up a K9 track and containment.

A 39-year-old Lynnwood man who had been with the robber during the incident was arrested and booked into Snohomish County Jail for investigation of robbery, according to police.

Despite an hour-long search, officers were unable to find the man who allegedly attacked the woman. He is described as a white man in his 30s, approximately 5-feet-8-inches to 6-feet tall, and thin. He had an unshaven beard and was wearing thick clear glasses, a white undershirt, black pants and a white baseball hat with a red brim.
