Police: Frat-burgling energy-drink fan arrested
SEATTLE -- A woman arrested Monday on drug charges later admitted to burglarizing a University of Washington fraternity and attempting to make off with a case of Red Bull, according to the Seattle Police Department.
Back on Nov. 18, a frat resident caught an unknown man in the house in the 4600 block of 22nd Avenue Northeast. According to police, the man left the house when confronted and rode away on a bicycle.
When the resident went outside, he saw a woman next to his house carrying a case of Red Bull, according to police. When the woman saw the resident, she dropped the energy drinks and rode off on a bicycle.
On Monday, officers arrested a woman on a warrant for violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act. When she was interviewed by detectives the following day, she admitted to being the would-be Red Bull thief, according to police.
Police are continuing to investigate a string of burglaries that have plagued UW frats and sororities in recent months.
