Police: burrito-related assault leads to arrest on Capitol Hill

SEATTLE -- Police say a burrito-related assault left one man with a lump on his head and another man in jail.

A man was trying to enjoy a burrito on Broadway and East Pine Street last Saturday afternoon when a stranger approached him and demanded a bite.

Police say the victim declined to share his food and told the stranger he was being rude, which only angered the man. The aggressor, identified only as a 24-year-old man, once again demanded a bite of the burrito and pushed the customer when he refused to share.

Police say the customer stood up from his seat, at which point the stranger punched him in the head and took off running.

The victim called police and officers found the alleged attacker trying to board a nearby bus. Police say he matched the description of a man who had just stolen liquor from a nearby store.

The man was arrested and booked into King County Jail.
