Police: Armed robbers break into Lynnwood home

LYNNWOOD, Wash. -- Two men, one of whom was wearing a mask and armed with a handgun, forced their way into a woman's Lynnwood home Monday afternoon, according to the Lynnwood Police Department.

According to police, the victim was at home in the 6200 block of 202nd Street Southwest around 12:30 p.m. when the two men came to her door. The men reportedly forced their way inside, put a pillowcase over the woman's head and bound her wrists with tape. The pair eventually ran off after rummaging through the home.

The woman was able to eventually remove the pillowcase and call 911.

It is unclear what, if anything, was stolen during the robbery, and police are continuing to pursue several leads, including information the victim was not randomly targeted.
