Police: Armed robber fails to notice cop watching through window

SEATTLE -- A masked man armed with a realistic-looking pellet gun robbed a North Seattle 7-Eleven early Tuesday morning, according to the Seattle Police Department. The only problem? An officer was watching him through the store's window the whole time.

According to police, a citizen flagged down an officer in the 3200 block of Northeast 145th Street shortly after 4 a.m. to report a suspicious person inside the nearby 7-Eleven.

The officer looked inside the store and saw a man holding a gun and the clerk with his hands in the air, according to police.

The alleged robber left the store and he was promptly disarmed and arrested. He was booked into King County Jail for investigation of robbery.
