Police: 3 Tacoma burglars arrested a long way from home

LA CENTER, Wash. -- Three men from Tacoma are now in jail a long way from home after being caught burglarizing a house in La Center, Wash., according to the Clark County Sheriff's Office.

According to the Sheriff's Office, a La Center homeowner noticed a car just leaving his house Thursday and immediately discovered he had been burglarized and his shotgun stolen.

The victim provided a description of the car to the La Center Police Department, and an officer spotted it driving through town.

Officers followed the car onto a dead-end road, where its three occupants got out and ran, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Two of the men were arrested immediately; a third was arrested after reportedly being found hiding in some bushes at the edge of town.

The men were booked into the Clark County Sheriff's Office jail for investigation of burglary, theft of a firearm, theft from a building, malicious mischief and unlawful possession of firearm.
