Police: 2 suspects killed after breaking into Yakima home
YAKIMA, Wash. – Police say two people suspected of breaking into a Yakima home are dead and three residents of the home were injured after a Sunday morning home invasion.
The incident unfolded just before 4 a.m. in a normally quiet, peaceful neighborhood in the 1900 block of South 64th Avenue in Yakima.
Police say two suspects forced themselves into a home. Once inside, a fight broke out between the two suspects and three family members.
Police say the two suspects were stabbed, and both of them died at the scene.
All three family members were also stabbed. They were taken to a local hospital for their injuries. Their conditions were not immediately available.
Police didn't say whether the suspects and residents of the home knew each other.
