A fishmonger at the market spotted someone acting unusual Wednesday at about 5:30 p.m. and flagged down a patrol officer who was making his rounds. The fishmonger told the officer, "come over here and look at this guy, he's doing weird things," according to police.
The employee went on to say he'd seen the strange man groping and possibly surreptitiously taking photos of women outside on the market's balcony.
The officer went out to the balcony to investigate and immediately noticed the man was "enjoying something other than the view," according to police. When the officer walked closer, he realized the man had his pants down and was "pointing his genitals toward tourists."
When asked what he was doing, the man said he was "just hanging out," according to police.
The suspect, who has not been identified, was arrested and booked into King County Jail on suspicion of indecent exposure. Officers also recovered two cell phones from the man, which will be used for evidence.
