      Pedestrian unhurt after walking in I-5 traffic near Everett

      EVERETT, Wash. - A pedestrian somehow avoided being struck while walking across busy Interstate 5 near Everett on Saturday morning.

      Emergency personnel responded to the scene, southbound I-5 near 148th Street SW in Everett, at about 8:30 a.m. after receiving 911 calls about someone wandering in traffic on the freeway

      Arriving at the scene, they found a pedestrian in the I-5 median, said the Washington State Patrol.

      The person appeared to be uninjured, but was put into an ambulance and taken to the hospital to be checked out.
