Oregon man with possible dementia fails to arrive in Seattle

Police say a 76-year-old man who left Gresham, Ore. last Thursday bound for Seattle hasn't made it to his destination.

Gresham police say Gary Gochnour may suffer from dementia.

Gochnour rented a U-Haul truck Feb. 19. He was supposed to arrive at his sister's home in Seattle Feb. 21, police say.

The rented truck hasn't been returned. His roommate was the last person to see Gochnour. That was Feb. 27 when he said Gochnour left for Seattle.

The U-Haul truck has an Arizona license plate number of AE80457. The truck number is TM2937E and is described as a 10 foot box truck.

Gochnour is white, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 165 pounds. He has gray hair and no facial hair.

Anyone who has information about Gochnour's location is asked to call the Gresham Police Department tip line at 503-618-2719.
