Woman shot in head as gun shots ring through South Seattle

The woman, in her 20s, was shot at from a moving car near a house in the 4500 block of South Willow Street just after 2 a.m., Patrick Michaud with the Seattle Police Department says.
The woman had been a passenger in another vehicle, Michaud says. Medics transported her to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses say they heard at least a dozen gun shots as both cars drove through the area at a high rate of speed.
Detectives with SPD's gang unit are interviewing witnesses and say they are working to develop a suspect description.
