She says her grandson was the victim of a shooting that shut down part of the neighborhood for hours.
"I don't want to believe it, I don't want to," Scott said.
She had breakfast with him earlier in the day, but sensed something wrong was about to happen. Excaliber called his grandmother "mom."
"He kept telling me, 'Mom, I love you.' It just made me feel like there was a spirit trying to tell me something. I didn't know what it was," she said.
King County Sheriff's deputies say Excaliber was shot during a dispute over a minor piece of property on 2nd Avenue South in White Center. He died at the scene.
Deputies say there were several individuals at the scene who knew each other. The alleged shooter fled after the gun was fired but was soon caught. Investigators do not believe it was gang related.
The name of the suspect has not been released.
