Teen shot in the head in South Seattle, gunman still at large
SEATTLE - Police are searching for a gunman after a 16-year-old boy was shot in the head in Seattle's South Park neighborhood Wednesday night.
Officers were called to the scene near 14th Ave. S. and S. Trenton St. around 6:45 p.m. after reports of shots fired.
Seattle Fire said the teen was taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition. Police said the teen had life-threatening injuries.
A police K9 team was brought in but was unable to locate a suspect.
Police have not released a suspect description.
Seattle Police gang detectives are now investigating.
