No injuries in Kitsap County mobile home fire

BREMERTON, Wash. -- Nobody was injured in a destructive Thursday afternoon structure fire that tore through a Kitsap County mobile home.

Fire crews were called to the Kariotis Mobile Home Park, located in the 3000 block of NE McWilliams Road, just after 3 p.m.

When they arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the mobile home. Nobody was home at the time of the fire, but officials say one cat was killed in the blaze and another is still missing.

The heaviest fire was coming from the rear of the home, and flames were also shooting through the roof. Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue firefighters were able to knock the fire down, but they stayed on scene to monitor hot spots.

Red Cross was called it assist the family, and County Fire Marshal will be investigating the the fire.

Bremerton Fire Department also responded with one Engine and one Medic Unit.
