Prosecutors say initial forensic test evidence does not match the man to the crime. Snoqualmie police are still continuing their investigation.
The victim, a woman in her 30s, was leaving work the night of March 9 when she was forced back inside by a man who stabbed her, bound her wrists and feet with duct tape and sexually assaulted her.
The woman was the last employee in Jay Berry's Restaurant, in the 400 block of Mt. Si Boulevard, and was exiting from the back door when she was assaulted.
Snoqualmie Police Chief Steve McCulley says even though she had been stabbed, the victim somehow freed herself to call 911 and tell officers what happened to her. The woman was taken to the hospital after the attack, and she is now recovering at home.
"She's doing good - as best as she can be," Almquist said. "I know that we're in direct contact with her most every day."
