Murder charge filed in Fox Island stabbing death

TACOMA, Wash. -- A 30-year-old man has been charged with first degree murder for allegedly stabbing a 23-year-old man to death near a Fox Island gas station last month.

Prosecutors allege Jason Madron drove with a group of friends to Fox Island to meet the victim for a drug deal on Nov. 20. The victim, identified as Jacob Glenn, got into the car to make the exchange, but instead of paying for drugs, Madron tried to rob Glenn, prosecutors said.

Both got out of the car and fight ensued, eventually ending with Madron fatally stabbing Glenn in the chest, prosecutors said.

Glenn's body was discovered the next morning by a gas station customer.

In court Monday, Madron pleaded not guilty to the murder charge. A judge ordered he be held on $2 million bail.
