The robber, a white man in his mid 30s, was first seen lingering in a downtown store on Thursday. He then walked over to the clerk, pulled out a knife and demanded all the money in the till.
The clerk handed over the money and the robber took off on foot. Police say the same man may be responsible for a similar robbery on Tuesday in downtown Mount Vernon.
The robber stands roughly 6'1" tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He was bald or had very short hair and was wearing a dark hoodie and dark tennis shoes. Witnesses said his clothes appeared to be dirty.
Anyone with information about either robberies is asked to call 911.
