Officers and medics responded to the scene, in the 4900 block of Evergreen Way, just before 3 p.m. after receiving a report of a serious collision, said Aaron Snell of the Everett police.
The motorcyclist, a 36-year Everett man, was severely injured. He was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.
A preliminary investigation found that the motorcycle was heading north on Evergreen Way when a car in the oncoming lanes turned left, in front of the motorcycle, into the QFC parking lot.
The motorcyclist tried stopping, but collided with the car, which was being driven by a 62-year-old man, Snell said.
It is unknown if alcohol, drugs or speed were factors in the crash.
The driver of the car was a 62 year-old man and the motorcyclist was a 36 year-old Everett man.
The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made, Snell said.
