Motorcyclist dies in Burien head-on crash

BURIEN, Wash. -- A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday night when he and another biker collided with a car in Burien.

King County sheriff's deputies on scene say the crash happened at roughly 9 p.m. in the 400 block of 156th Street. They say two motorcyclists were heading one direction when one of them collided head-on with a car traveling in the opposite direction.

One of the bikers was pronounced dead at the scene. The second was able to lay down his motorcycle to avoid taking the brunt of the crash impact. He suffered only minor injuries, according to deputies.

The man driving the car was taken to Highline Hospital, but it's unclear how severe his injuries were.

The road was closed Tuesday night while the county's Major Accident Reconstruction team investigated.
