Mother, children rescued from Green River after raft deflates

FLAMING GEYSER STATE PARK, Wash. -- Rescuers pulled a mother and two young children, ages 5 and 6, from the Green River after their inflatable raft deflated in the water on Saturday, King County Fire officials said.

The incident happened Flaming Geyser State Park, between Auburn and Black Diamond, about 5 p.m.

It snagged on some tree branches and popped.

Rescuers got everyone back to shore safely.

King County Fire crews said the raft was not meant to be used in a fast-moving river. It is only for use in a pool.
