Jadin Filla suffered burns to nearly 50 percent of her body and doctors said she had a 10 percent chance of surviving.
KEPR reports the 6-year-old kindergartner now is running around at school, just like the other kids. She is a miracle to her family and a success story to doctors.
"She can now move her fingers and wave with them," said Jadin's grandma, Linda Filla.
But her surgeries are not over.
She's soon scheduled for a procedure in which doctors will fuse a toe onto a hand to serve as a thumb.
"They're going to take the growth plate and everything so it will continue to grow as she grows," Filla says.
"It makes you realize, I feel there is that higher power that has had a lot with this. And guardian angels, she has lots of guardian angels," said Jadin's great aunt, Gladys Filla.
Jadin's family is always looking for help to cover the cost to get to Seattle and back for all of her surgeries. If you want to help, visit www.gofundme.com/y0cu4.
