Man who washed ashore near Stanwood beach was murdered, ME says
STANWOOD, Wash. - Authorities say a man whose body washed ashore near Stanwood in April was murdered.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the 47-year-old man as Carlos Reyes-Rodriguez last month. Reyes-Rodriguez was from Sedro Woolley, the Medical Examiner's Office says.
His body washed ashore on Warm Beach April 2. He died due to homicidal violence, authorities say.
Reyes-Rodriguez's body was discovered by local residents walking on the beach. The circumstances of his death are unclear.
The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office says family members reported Reyes-Rodriguez missing on February 22.
Warm Beach is in the 16900 block of Marine Drive.
