Police say the man tried to walk into the ferry around 12:30 a.m. without buying a ticket. He managed to get through one gate but was approached by troopers while he was waiting at the second gate.
The man was asked to leave, but troopers said he wouldn't comply and eventually, they used their Taser.
"We do our verbal firsts to see if we can get him to go along with what we needed done," said Sgt. Rick Fisher with the Washington State Patrol. "He was at the point where he was not going to respond to officers' commands and they go to the next step which is the Taser."
The man was taken into custody, then taken by wheelchair to an ambulance and driven off to Harborview Medical Center to be evaluated.
Troopers say it's not clear yet whether the man will face any charges.
