Man struck by train, severely injured near Carkeek Park
SEATTLE - A man is in the hospital with serious injuries after was hit by a train near Carkeek Park in North Seattle.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, near the 900 block of NW Carkeek Park Road, at around 10 p.m. Sunday after receiving reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a freight train.
The victim, a man believed to be around 50 years old, was found underneath a train car.
He was rescued and rushed to the hospital in stable condition with serious injuries.
There's no word yet on what the man was doing near the train tracks.
