Man struck by car, seriously injured overnight in Federal Way
FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - A middle-aged man was struck by a car and seriously injured Tuesday night in Federal Way, emergency officials said.
Police and medics responded to the scene, at South Dash Point Road and 1st Avenue South, at about 8 p.m. after receiving reports of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle.
The victim was taken to Valley Medical Center in stable condition, with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
It is unknown exactly what led up to the crash, but South King Fire & Rescue officials said it happened on a dark and curvy section of the road.
Federal Way police said no charges are likely to be filed against the driver.
