Cops find large drug stash after man shot near Beacon Hill
SEATTLE - A man was rushed to the hospital Sunday after he was shot twice at a home in a Beacon Hill area neighborhood, officials said. Investigators later found a large amount of narcotics at the scene.
The incident unfolded in the 2400 block of South Holly Street at about 3:35 p.m. Officers and medics responded after receiving reports of shots fired.
An approximately 40-year-old man was found at the scene with two gunshot wounds to his abdomen. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition, said Lt. Harold Webb of the Seattle Fire Department.
The victim was uncooperative with officers at the scene and would not provide any suspect description. A large amount of narcotics was located at the scene and submitted into evidence, said Detective Mark Jamieson of the Seattle police.
The investigation continues.
