Dad rushed to hospital after jumping on acquaintance's car
LYNNWOOD, Wash. - A man in his 40s was hurt Saturday when he jumped onto another man's car and then fell off while the vehicle was moving.
Deputies responded to reports of a disturbance between a man and his son at a home in the 15100 block of Cascadian Way just before 12 p.m.
At some point during the disturbance, a 20-year-old acquaintance of the son arrived at home, presumably to give the man's son a ride, Todd Swenson with the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said.
For reasons still under investigation, the man in his 40s jumped onto the acquaintance's car. The acquaintance then drove off with the man still on the vehicle.
A short time later, deputies say the man fell from the car and hurt his leg.
He was rushed to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. The driver initially fled the scene but later returned and is cooperating with investigators, Swenson said.
The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
