Man pleads guilty to last year's fatal crash in Spanaway

SPANAWAY, Wash. -- A man who admitted to drinking before a crash that killed a woman and injured six others last year pleaded guilty Wednesday to vehicular homicide and vehicular assault.

Joshua White was driving an SUV with six others inside on Aug. 31, 2012 when he lost control and slammed into a fence on Spanaway's 22nd Ave. East.

Amanda Halvorson died at the scene. Six other young people in the vehicle, ranging in age from 19 to 22, suffered serious injuries and were taken to an area hospital.

White faces 9-12 years in prison when sentenced later this month.
