Man injured in possible drive-by shooting at Renton apartment

RENTON -- A Renton resident was shot in the leg while hanging out in his apartment Monday night, likely by someone driving or walking by outside, according to the Renton Police Department.

According to police, the victim was at his apartment in the 100 block of Hayes Place Southwest around 9:15 p.m. with his brother, who had just arrived and was recently released from prison, and a woman when three shots were fired through the window.

The victim was struck in the leg and taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.

According to police, the shots were likely fired from the open window of a car or by someone walking by the apartment. But, a police dog was unable to locate any possible shooters.
