Man in critical condition following Shelton attack
SHELTON, Wash. -- A man is in critical condition after being attacked late Tuesday night in downtown Shelton, according to the Shelton Police Department.
Police responded to First Street and Railroad Avenue shortly before 11:15 p.m. for reports of a disturbance and found an unconscious man on the ground.
According to police, witnesses said they saw a group of men run away from the scene before officers arrived.
Officers were unable to find any suspects in the attack, but right now they believe the victim and his attackers knew each other, according to police.
The victim was taken to Mason General Hospital before being airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
Police are continuing to investigate.
