Man beaten unconscious in Capitol Hill

SEATTLE -- A 33-year-old man was arrested for allegedly beating another man unconscious and threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend Thursday morning in Capitol Hill.

According to the Seattle Police Department, a witness reported the suspect was sitting on top of the unconscious victim and repeatedly punching him in the head around 7:45 a.m. at Bellevue Avenue East and East Pine Street.

The witness said the suspect had threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend and the victim and at one point stood up and started kicking the unconscious victim in the head.

Officers arrested the suspect and booked him into King County Jail for investigation of assault and harassment.

The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
