Man arrested after shots fired at SODO party

SEATTLE -- Officers arrested a man with shell casings in his car after shots were heard near a party early Sunday in SODO, according to the Seattle Police Department.

According to police, officers were monitoring a party on South Forest Street around 1:50 a.m. when they heard shots nearby on Utah Avenue South and saw a white Honda drive away.

The Honda was stopped after being spotted on Michigan Avenue South and East Marginal Way, and shell casings on the driver's seat matched five shell casings found in the street near the party, according to police.

No injuries were reported following the shooting, but police are continuing to investigate.

The driver was arrested and processed for DUI.
