Man airlifted to Harborview after hit-and-run near Renton

RENTON, Wash. -- A man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with critical injuries Monday afternoon after reportedly being hit by a car near Renton.

The incident happened in the Maple Heights neighborhood on 194th Avenue Southeast and Southeast 176th Street, according to officials.

The King County Sheriff's Office responded to a call that came in about 11:25 a.m. Monday regarding the incident.

The victim and the man driving the car reportedly knew each other and had been in a dispute before the driver hit the man, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Officials are still trying to determine if the incident was an accident or if it was intentional.

Detectives are reportedly on the scene investigating. There is currently no description of the driver or the car.
